The Tiny Bee is a design studio where Beegee Tolpa works tirelessly like a…well, a bee I guess, to showcase her patterns and characters.

And who is Beegee Tolpa? I’m so glad you asked! Beegee is an illustrator and designer who knows from cute. She logged in some employment with Nickelodeon and while there spent a lot of time with your friends SpongeBob Squarepants and Blue (of the famous Clues).

Now as a mother to a young daughter, she’s always out window shopping playful clothes, gear, furnishings, books, toys. You name it. As an illustrator, she has worked with such clients as: Chronicle Books, Target, Penguin (she even made a pop up book with them!), Nick Magazine, American Girl, Parents Magazine, Scholastic and Dutton Children’s Books to name a few. A graduate of Parsons School of Design with a degree in illustration, she lived and worked in New York City for many years. But the blackberries and fancy coffee drinks of Seattle lured her away. Now she makes her home in the Pacific Northwest creating playful patterns and characters that keep the clouds away.
